In many chemical processes, there are liquids or soluble solids to be removed from gas flows, either within a process or before gas emission. The BlueFil® mesh pad solutions can be used to build a complete gas scrubbing or filtration system for capturing droplet sprays.
BlueFil® is a structured mesh with a pyramid-like design, composed of 3D interlocked plastic monofilaments. Typically, a BlueFil® mesh pad consists of multiple layers of various grades, utilizing different fiber diameters and pyramid dimensions. It effectively captures mist particles larger than 0.5–0.8 microns in diameter at velocities exceeding 2.5–3 m/s.
Anwendungen:
Sulfuric Acid Plants: Captures H₂SO₄ droplets in drying towers (blockage-resistant), removes acid mist in absorption towers (SO₂ scrubber-compatible), and pre-treats SO₂ in cooling/quench towers.
Fertilizer Production: Scrubs dust in urea/CAN plants, handles HF/phosphoric acid fumes in DAP plants (4-stage scrubbing), and recovers residual ammonia.
Chemical Industry: Controls liquids/soluble solids in gas streams, especially for Chrome VI, HCl (electronics), and galvanizing fumes.
BlueFil® has been widely adopted in the fertilizer and general chemical industries, replacing outdated scrubbing system filtration elements to significantly enhance process efficiency and output quality.
